RESUME: Philipp Gantenberg was born in Munich in 1974. He attended high school in Germany and the USA before he went through law school in Passau and Munich and passed his first state law exam in 2000. This was followed by legal traineeship at the Munich Higher Regional Court in the years 2000-2002. He was admitted to the Munich Bar in 2002 and began practising as a lawyer with the prestigious business law firm Pavia e Ansaldo (Milan). In 2004, he returned to Munich where he first worked with the boutique law firm Zirngibl Langwieser Rechtsanwälte (Munich) and thereafter for the internationally renowned law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges (Munich).

He founded the law firm HUPE | GANTENBERG together with Matthias Hupe in 2011. Philipp Gantenberg holds a Ph.D. (Dr. jur.) in law (summa cum laude), sponsored by Prof. Dr. Kindler (Augsburg). His Ph.D. thesis was awarded with the “EON-Kulturpreis Bayern 2009” and the “Universitätspreis der Gesellschaft der Freunde der Universität Augsburg 2010”.

In spring 2013, Philipp Gantenberg started lecturing International Business Law at the Steinbeis Center of Management and Technology (SCMT) of Steinbeis University, Berlin.
